Runs? Privacy Policy

Effective when the approved version is published. This policy describes Runs? version 1.0 (26), provided by Generation 28, LLC.

On your device

Runs? stores the last run name you used to start a run so it can prefill your next run. It stores a randomly generated local participant identifier to recognize your participation in run cards, a separate random analytics installation identifier, and an outbox of up to 100 limited analytics events awaiting transmission. On extension startup it attempts to transmit retained events; it may stop before all are sent. These values are stored in the extension’s local preferences. Runs? has no account or login.

A card or update contains the chosen run name and the state needed to display the run, including participant identifiers and guest/open-place counts. People in the conversation can see the card and its name. Apple handles delivery through Messages under its own services and policies. Avoid sensitive information in run names. Ending a run does not delete earlier Messages cards or copies held by recipients.

Product analytics

Runs? records run_sent when the Messages send API’s completion callback reports no error, or send_failed when it reports an error. These events describe API request outcomes. They do not establish that a separate Messages Send action was completed or that anyone received or read the card. If a card remains staged in the input area, API acceptance is not proof that the user subsequently sent it.

Events contain a random installation identifier, event time, a deduplication identifier, action category and entry point, participant/guest/open-place counts, and a fixed failure category when applicable. We use these events to understand repeat use and whether submission requests work. This is pseudonymous event-level analytics associated with a persistent installation identifier, not anonymous or aggregate-only data. Runs? does not attach a name or account to that identifier.

The fixed failure category is conversation_send. The app does not include the underlying system error’s numeric code, domain or localized message, crash reports, stack traces, performance measurements or debug logs in these events.

Limits on analytics collection

Runs? does not include run names, message or conversation content, contacts, conversation identifiers, participant identifiers, advertising identifiers or location fields in analytics payloads. Amplitude receives a network connection when events are sent and may process network metadata to operate its service. Runs? does not enable advertising, cross-app tracking, session replay or automatic screen capture and does not read surrounding Messages history or contacts.

Analytics retention and deletion requests

Amplitude is configured to automatically expire Runs? analytics events after three calendar months, subject to its deletion processing. To request deletion sooner, email kamal.h@gen28.ai. Analytics records use a random installation identifier rather than your email address, so your email alone may not identify your records. We may need additional information to locate the relevant installation. If we cannot associate your request with particular records, we will explain that limitation. The configured automatic event-retention period still applies.

The project-level event-retention limit also applies to earlier pilot events in the same Runs? project. Deletion processing is not immediate; Amplitude states that deletion begins 24 hours after a retention change is confirmed. Removing Runs? stops future event generation by that installation but does not itself request immediate deletion of events already received.

Support correspondence

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide. We use it to respond to and resolve your request. We retain support correspondence while needed for the request, follow-up and recordkeeping. You can request deletion by emailing kamal.h@gen28.ai. If we retain information, we will explain what is retained and why. Please do not send private conversations, contacts, passwords or other sensitive information.

Your choices

You can edit the name before starting a new run and remove Runs? through the device’s normal app-removal process. Operating-system backups and Messages content may be retained separately under your Apple settings. Runs? cannot delete Messages copies held by other participants.
